Kostbar was the writer/producer of the film, The Hammer, "A hidden gem" by the Los Angeles Times; based on the life of Deaf UFC fighter, Matt Hamill. The film premiered at AFI Fest and won The Breakthrough Audience Award and was released theatrically and DVD/VOD.He later produced The Aggression Scale, which premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival and was released by Anchor Bay.Kostbar went on to produce Free Samples, with notable cast, Jesse Eisenberg, Jason Ritter and Tippi Hedren, as well as, cinematographer, Reed Marano. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was released by Starz.He followed up with the international production, The Thompsons, a sequel to cult classic, The Hamiltons.
