Singer/Songwriter, Actor, Lawyer, Director, Writer & Producer. Nishi is a New York City-based Indian entertainer. Born in New Delhi, India and from the south Indian state of Kerala, Nishi & her family moved to New York when she was 5 years old. Nishi has sung & performed since she was a little girl, writing her first songs & poems at age 9.Nishi entered the music and entertainment industry in 2002, released her 1st EP in 2005 and has performed throughout NYC with her band, The Nights. She has starred in independent feature films, short films, television pilots, Off-Off Broadway, Off-Broadway & community theatre productions in New York City. She studied acting at HB Studio.In 2014, she directed and produced a 30+ member cast Indian Off-Broadway musical, The Rajah's Son & Princess Labam. The musical ran for a month at the Medicine Show Theatre on 52nd Street, NYC.Nishi has been featured in international newspapers, magazines, TV and radio and sang for 120-million LIVE worldwide on Border Crossings' Voice of America. Nishi's music has been played throughout Canada, London, Japan, India, Malaysia and America. Her single 'Story II', was the title track of the independent Sailor Moon Movie and became the #1 most downloaded song by a solo female artist on CdBaby (2011-2012).Nishi released her new single Steal Your Heart Away in May of 2016.
