Ricardo Freitas was born in Santana, Madeira, Portugal the oldest of two children. He and his family moved to the UK when he was 4 years old. Although a shy child Ricardo was a natural performer from an early age, jumping at the chances to sing and perform in school plays, after playing the Lion in a school production of The Wizard of Oz at the age of 10, he stole the show and was adamant he knew what he wanted to do with his life.Life however stepped in, the acting dream was put to the side but never forgotten, Ricardo worked odd jobs to support himself unaware of what to do with his life, having always had an artistic flair and ability to draw he enrolled in The University College for the Creative Arts, achieving a Bachelors Honors Degree in Graphic Design.Beginning work as an Illustrator/Graphic Designer, Ricardo knew instantly that he had made the wrong career choice and needed to make a change. Needing to get away and take some time to himself, he moved to Louisville, Kentucky to pursue one of his childhood dreams, Pro wrestling. Though he loved the art of pro wrestling, it only served to ignite the passion for performance and acting inside him which had remained dormant, realizing this he immediately booked all the screen acting and method acting workshops and seminars he could, and from his first class he knew this is where he had been heading his whole life, he was right at the age of 10, acting was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He enrolled at the London Academy Of Media Film and Television, Began working on short films, independent films, television and Music Videos, soon garnering featured roles in feature films. He has been working in the industry in the UK since 2011 and hasn't looked back since. Hide
