With a lifelong desire to pursue the arts of cinematography, Shawn pursued his first desire to act in the arts at the age of sixteen at an acting school in his home town of Atlanta. Thereafter as he lived under the roof of his parents his mother suspected the industry was too immoral for her son to become involved in thus prohibited his purpose to pursue his own want to become an actor. He exclaims that that calling never disappeared. Some years passed and Shawn became independent and returned to acting school. He recalls the last day of class where each student was called in to get an honest evaluation from the acting instructor. The instructor left him as the last person as he watched as people poured out of the room with disappointment in a dreadful silence, some even with tears. Finally, he was called in as the instructors gave a smile and said "Dude you can do this! You're good! You're funny!" It was an encouraging confirmation for him, However in the arts of acting nothing was happening in Atlanta Georgia with production, Shawn had a business, a house, and very grounded to Atlanta at this juncture although wanted to move to LA or NY to pursue the acting career however it would take some time to make those elements coincide. At church an older distinguished gentleman had visited and looked him in the eyes and said "You missed your boat! You should have been an actor" as this was no different than placing a knife into his chest he felt a remorse of ignoring the calling for lack of confidence and fear of failing at such a big risk to move and leave everything behind. However, the desire and calling were like a constant harassment to his soul. He managed to escape and free himself from a lot of material baggage and was determined to simplify his life Today Shawn has decided to be fully committed to the arts of cinematography until it is pursued to satisfaction. He studied Screenplay writing school at Emory of Atlanta under the instruction Micheal Lucker and has done a series of acting classes and training. IN THE WORKS ARE FINISHED FEATURES, SERIES, AND DOCUMENTARY SCRIPTS to be produced. "If a door never opens then build the door.
