His "Nighthawks" band has been featured in many movies, television shows, National Public Radio broadcasts and concerts in several countries. He has produced and played on many CDs, including the Grammy Award-winning 'Boardwalk Empire.' He plays many instruments himself, and is an expert in the rarely heard bass saxophone.
