Description
This story tells about three of the skiers who were caught in a real disaster. That story began with three snowboarders, stranded on a high-altitude crane at the New England ski resort. It ends up with a real nightmare for these skiers because the resorts have been closed because of the winter storm, which may turn things off completely.

A stuck chairlift just doesn't exert the same primal terror as a roiling sea, and to make up the difference, Green would need a better cast and sharper dialogue than he has here.

Overall, it's a one note premise, where the characters, stuck up on a lift, have nowhere to go and quite fittingly the movie in turn, goes nowhere.

Adam Green's taut, toe-curling survival thriller is better than it should be: the concept and the characters' behaviour are mostly plausible, the script is dark and funny, the acting is adequate, and the wildlife scenes are convincing.
