Kursk

Description
In a series of historical events, the film talks about the 2000 K-141 Kursk submarine disaster and the government neglect that followed. It is a real tragedy where sailors struggle to survive. On the other hand, their families resist the dilemma of political obstacles and the impossible opportunities to save them from the catastrophe that history has endured.

Thomas Vinterberg adapts one of the more controversial accounts of the tragedy, but strikes an even keel between humanising the doomed seamen and demonising the high command who left them to die.
