Sleepover

Description
The four friends Julie and Hannah, Yansi, and Joy in a dramatic and romantic story through a powerful adventure, where Jolie is invited to a night party with her three friends. On the other hand, a competition is held in the school to win the legendary lunch, but they must win a scavenger hunt all night against their competitors of other girls. The adventure begins when the four girls try to win the race against their opponents. The adventure began by sneaking out of the house, stealing a car, torturing a security guard and stealing a car, perhaps encountering a kind of romance lacking in their various adventures.

There's not a scene that doesn't feel as if we've been there before.

Thanks to a few wacky set pieces, it's not quite as excruciating as it could have been.

Just when the big screen could use an injection of frothy, giggly girl power -- all in the name of a covert feminist message, of course -- Sleepover squanders that promise with a blah story and even bigger bummer of a take-home message.

Not for younger kids, despite its PG rating.

Nussbaum's attempt to capture the 'tween zeitgeist fails: The Spice Girls-infused soundtrack is dated, and the feel-good progressiveness forced.

How many 14-year-old girls do you know who would set up a blind date with a grown-up over the Internet? (Yeah, I found this creepy too.)

Approaching Sleepover with any sort of sensitivity or intelligence is an act of extreme masochism.

Pleasantly pixilated, if mildly alarming.
