Description
Kammy is the wife of Antoine, the girl whom Antoine loved. After a five-year absence, Antoine returns to Brussels to see his lover but discovers she is about to leave for an important business trip. Kammy asks Antoine to be a gynecologist for Elsa after the babysitter has been delayed for only a few minutes. Antoine accepts the care of the child Elsa, but the babysitter has not returned and Antoine cares the girl for three days.

Belgian director Amélie van Elmbt's lovely trifle The Elephant and the Butterfly is as sweet and gentle -- and at times simplistic -- as its storybook title may imply.
