I Am the Night - Season 1

Description
It may be different when we see the series full of dramatic events. The series breaks up a large collection of dramatic events highlighted with a title at hand, Fona (India Eisley) and Jay (Chris Pine) heading to Hawaii to find Tamar. The animals are hoping to find some answers about who they are, Jay hoping to find answers about the story Hodel wrote about that ruined his career.

Pacing can be frustrating -- this mini would be a lot more effective if it were cut to four hours -- but the surprises and twists in the final two episodes make it more than worthy of your investment.

May be a little too formulaic to be TV's next limited series with maximum impact, but it's well positioned to deliver the kind of entertainment that overly serious fare often overlooks.

It boasts a terrific lead performance from Chris Pine, but the story's much too slow to get going and doesn't deliver enough payoff to merit the wait.

The parts of the TV drama that stick closest to the facts are the most satisfying, and the two lead performances are equally strong.

You'll hate yourself for enjoying its seedy dark universe inspired by infamy, a place where you can get yourself killed for insulting someone's paintings. The fabulous avante garde score is, dare I say it, killer. Buckle up.
