Phi Truong, birth name: Phi Lam Truong. First name is pronounced "fee." In Chinese meaning fly/flight, in Vietnamese meaning pilot/airport, was born in Tanjung Pinang, Indonesia. He is of Vietnamese/Chinese descent, his mother (Nguyet Chi Pham) and father (Trung Hon Truong) are both of Vietnamese/Chinese ancestry. They fled Viet Nam in 1979 due to the Fall of Sai Gon and became section to Galang Refugee Camp. Primarily raised and educated in California; Phi decided to pursue the career of acting in entertainment, nonetheless had a very late start in his adulthood.
