Description
A new series of conflicts, issues and events illustrate the story of a woman named Annie Walker, an apprentice at the CIA. Annie Walker has been promoted in the field amidst a range of exciting issues, and because of her language skills and special abilities she has been placed in tasks that seem very difficult. Turning her career into a path that seems more dangerous and risky and now she has to accept all these tasks relying on her intuition only without training or explanation. Annie will be assigned the task of directing a military intelligence agent named Aggie Anderson, who will later become blind and will become the only assistant to Annie in all her movements inside the CIA headquarters.

Covert Affairs is a zippy character study, and it puts Perabo's features to playful use in the earliest moments of the pilot, filling the screen with them in a context where they're begging to be studied.

Covert Affairs isn't as complicated as Alias, nor does it have the sci-fi/fantasy element that show had, but it does have promise and Annie Walker could be a nice addition to USA's stable.

Piper Perabo is perfect in the role. Eerily, she even resembles Jennifer Garner to an extent, as it's impossible not to make comparisons to Alias.
