Description
The series depicts the adventures of The Doctor and his new companion Rose. They embark on yet more far-flung and improbable adventures: traveling 5,000,000,000 years into the future as the Earth is about to be swallowed by the sun. Among the elite alien guests assembled to watch the phenomenon is Lady Cassandra, who takes pride in being the last pure human, though she has received many operations that have altered her image.

Between the Doctor and Rose there is genuine, old-fashioned chemistry, and their interaction, which occasionally takes on the aspect of screwball comedy, is much the best thing in the show.
